What I really like??
Topic A: I really like the food, when its well prepared, obviously, and I really love to cook tough. So, the recipe that caught my atention the first time I tried was "pastel de choclo" wich means like "corn cake". I know that you should think it is a dessert but it a salty meal that contains a fryed base called "sofrito" of minced onions and garlic, minced beef, oregano, paprika, blach pepper, salt and a little of cummin, then its done it have to rest overnight; at the next day you have to degranate the fresh corn, blend it several times till obtain a thick paste, you can add salt and some fresh basil at this point; it has to be cooked in low heat till the colour turn from a palid yelow to a darker yollow cream. We will need some boiled chicken breast or thighs. In a clay pot we put the "sofrito" in the bottom, followed by the chicken, covered with corn paste, you can sprinkle some suggar or add meringue in the top, put that masterpiece in the oven about 20-30 min or till the surface has a beautufull gratin color. Its so delicious and its very healthy if you use low amounts of salt.
